At the end of October, India—the world's largest rice exporter—lifted its export ban, causing rice prices in the international market to drop significantly. According to data from the Vietnam Food Association, the price of 5% broken rice from Pakistan and Thailand is now between 457-490 USD per ton, a decrease of 5-10% compared to before the ban was lifted

The information was presented by Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien during a meeting with Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng in Beijing. The meeting took place as part of the 13th session of the Vietnam-China Economic and Trade Cooperation Committee.

The Canadian Intellectual Property Office has granted exclusive protection for two trademarks: "Ben Tre Pomelo & Device" for green-skinned grapefruit and "Ben Tre Coconut & Device" for green coconuts. The Ben Tre Department of Science and Technology is the owner of these certification trademarks.
